Atelier Optìf is a young, dynamic practice at the intersection of architecture, design, and research, working across scales—from territories to objects.
The ambition of the studio is to design and build spaces and atmospheres with an intrinsic value of beauty. We aspire to create architecture that is open, non-hierarchical, and in close dialogue with its context and the people who inhabit it.
Projects are developed through a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach, mixing research and experimentation across art, design, and architecture. We believe in the cultural value of an open and iterative process, where design generates contemporary and unexpected spaces that evoke emotion, identity, and belonging.
Founded in 2024 by Alessandro Cacioppo (b. 1993), Atelier Optìf emerges from a diverse range of experiences. Graduated between Turin and Hong Kong, Alessandro trained as an architect in Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands. He collaborated with RCR Arquitectes (Pritzker Prize, 2017) on the design of the artistic and cultural complex on Île Seguin in Paris, and also worked in Paris for Atelier Jean Nouvel (Pritzker Prize, 2008) on projects in France and the Middle East. Alessandro brings expertise in managing complex processes, strategies, and interdisciplinary teamwork. He combines practice and research by teaching as a design assistant at Politecnico di Milano.
